Requirements
- UE 5.5 is the only version officially supported
- (optional) Package the project in Shipping configuration.
Settings
- In Project Settings → Rendering, enable “Alpha Output”
- Do not use “Alpha Holdout” (turn it off if enabled).

- Add a PostProcessVolume to the scene

- Create a new Material
- Switch Material domain to Post Process Material

- Invert the alpha (because Unreal outputs alpha inverted vs what AVP expects) creating this Material Graph

- Make sure the Post Process Material’s Blend Mode is set to Opaque, not Translucent.
- Make sure Output Alpha is enabled in the material settings.

Scene Content for MR
- Add the new material to Post Process Materials

- In Post Process Volume Settings, enable Infinite Extent (Unbound)
- Remove the skybox and any “background” geometry.
Start your Unreal Engine Project on Apple Vision Pro
Now that your project is correctly configured, make sure you downloaded and installed both Innoactive Spatial Runtime and Innoactive Spatial for Vision Pro (you can request access here).
Info — Before starting, make sure your Unreal Engine project is closed.
-
Start Innoactive Spatial Runtime
-
Create Manual application setup: Connected Application → Set Manually
- Application Type: Unreal Engine, any name, any version

- On Apple Vision Pro, open Innoactive Spatial app
- In Innoactive Spatial app, select the first item in the vertical menu of the left select Workstation
- Select Unreal Engine
- If it does not find the workstation, use Manual connect via IP
- Start the connection and wait for Loading project files (will be streaming soon)

- On the workstation, confirm Innoactive Spatial Runtime is showing three green lights (Runtime status, Connected client, Connected Application UnrealEngine)

-
Only at this point start Unreal packaged build or start Unreal Engine project - if it was already running, close it and open it again.
- (In case of Unreal Engine project) verify VR Preview button is green
