Innoactive and Linde team up to expand the use of VR training in the Oil & Gas industry

Munich, 26.06.2020 – Linde uses the Innoactive Portal to launch the Linde Virtual Academy, a continuously growing library of VR training apps for plant operators in the oil & gas industry.

The purpose of the Linde Virtual Academy (LVA) is to ensure 100% plant availability and zero safety incidents. This is achieved by giving plant operators easy access to effective VR-powered training sessions. With just a few clicks, they enter a rich world of VR-based courses and immerse themselves in highly realistic scenarios where they can learn by doing, a crucial benefit especially for situations that are hard, or impossible to replicate in real life.

“Through Virtual Reality technology, trainees can learn by doing and practice with their hands in an immersive and safe virtual environment. They are allowed to make mistakes and learn from them at no cost and no harm.” says Feras Alhothali, Innovation Manager at Linde Plantserv®.

Linde’s Virtual Academy is based on the Innoactive Portal, a lightweight yet powerful platform that makes it easy to adopt VR training across multiple corporate locations. Not only is the Portal offering a simple interface for plant operators to browse and launch VR training apps at any time, but it also gives them instant access to the latest versions of the training apps whenever there’s an update. That’s because the Innoactive Portal enables admins to easily distribute the content and make it available to plant operators in an instant. The entire journey of deploying, maintaining and accessing the VR content becomes effortless.

“We built the Innoactive Portal to facilitate the adoption of VR training, by placing the needs of the users at the core. And what they need is to easily access and operate VR training apps wherever they are. The Portal takes care of that, while meeting corporate IT requirements and integration needs as well.”, says Daniel Seidl, CEO of Innoactive.

Oil & Gas plants all over the world are welcome to leverage Linde’s best-practice VR training apps for plant operators. To get a glimpse of the available content and request access to it, visit innoactive.io/linde-virtual-academy.

“VR training works and is now accessible too. We look forward to supporting more customers and partners with adopting it.” – says Daniel Seidl.
